FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

POOLS

  • Due to the pre-cast nature of Plungie Pools, modifications such as increasing or decreasing size is not possible.

  • All of Plungie Pools external shell height is  5’ 6 ½” and typical water depth to 5’.

  • The internal finish of the pool is ecoFINISH, which is a highly engineered form of powder coating. Even the darkest ecoFinish shades will not fade or mottle, so you can rest assured that the pool interior coating will look great for years to come.

EcoFinish doesn’t just look good — it feels good too. It’s intentionally engineered to be soft and easy on feet, unlike other pool interior finishes that can degrade and become abrasive over time. With fantastic, slip-resistant capabilities, ecoFinish offers safety without feeling rough on skin.

We also offer an alternative raw concrete internal finish, this is a great option if you are looking to tile your entire pool.

  • The external surfaces of Plungie Pools are delivered with a National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) Product Standard Finish.

  • Due to the nature of precast concrete, the top edge of your pool is not an architectural finish.  There will be slight imperfections caused by the molding process.  To maximize the aesthetic appeal and longevity of your pool we highly recommend the use of a coping tile.  This will not only improve the look but also help protect the concrete from wear and tear. Coping tiles can easily be added to the pool, however, we don't sell them directly.

  • Yes, your pool can be tiled internally or externally. We don't offer tiling options directly however, we can supply your pool with no internal ecoFINISH at a reduced price.

  • Every one of the Plungie Pools is made completely from concrete.

  • Every pool comes with the pre-plumbed provisions for heating, however, the heater itself is an additional purchase.

  • Every pool can use an electric heat pump (we can supply you with this), gas heater or solar heating.

  • We don't offer in-floor cleaning as an option. The best thing for a pool is a robotic cleaner.

  • Due to the pre-cast nature of Plungie Pools, modifications such as windows are not possible. We only do windows for commercial activations and installations.

MISC.

  • A ten-year structural and ecoFinish warranty comes with every Plungie Pool.

  • Ladders can be purchased separately through most pool equipment providers.

  • We currently do not offer swim jets.

  • A hydrostatic valve helps relieve groundwater pressure on your pool shell after heavy rainfall, preventing it from popping out of the ground. Regardless of whether it’s concrete, fiberglass, or vinyl-liner, every in-ground pool requires a hydrostatic valve to prevent serious damage to the pool shell and backyard.

  • Our pools are proudly American made. Our manufacturer, Plungie, makes the pools here in Dallas Texas.
